🍳 Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Step 2

Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3

Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Pour in the buttermilk and stir just until a dough forms.

Do not overmix.

Step 5

Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.

Pat into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.

Fold once or twice before cutting for extra flaky layers.

Step 6

Cut biscuits using a biscuit cutter or drinking glass.

Place biscuits so they're just touching on the baking sheet.

Step 7

Bake 15–18 minutes until golden brown.

Step 8

Warm the Front Porch Pecan Honey Cream for about 10 seconds.

Brush each biscuit with melted butter.

Generously spoon the warm honey cream over the biscuits.

Finish with toasted pecans if desired.

Serve immediately.

🌲 Piney Woods Tip

For extra flaky biscuits, freeze your butter for about 15 minutes before cutting it into the flour.

The colder the butter, the taller the biscuit.
